JUST A HEADS UP
So I’m moved and settled in, finally posted up my AC commissions I got scans of and I’m thinking- I want to keep this party going- I’m extending the Moving Sale! ART SALE. These are my AC discounts, so they are much cheaper than my regular prices.  Keep in mind I can and will draw- human, anthro, feral…whatever… Color ACEOs- $10 11x8 Sketches-$10 +Color-$10 +Character-$5 Conbadges- $25 On top of this, I’m selling some of my originals, if you can think of something off my gallery you like, I can dig it up and you can give me an offer for it. I don’t want to move all my stuff…so I’m probably willing to part with it cheap. -Now for something completely different- FREE ART! Of course with a hitch (as always). I am going to do one free Conbadge (or any art worth $25)- which I will raffle off to anyone who links this journal in their own Journal (or reblog)- thus signal boosting this. Post your signal boost journal link here. From there I will take everyone who has posted a journal, assign a number to them, and then put it into a random number generator. I will announce the winner Sept 1st.
Examples of my art can be found at:

Yes, I’m reblogging this, I could really use the help folks.  Thanks!

clareironbrook-rp:

I made a dumb mistake and made a new rp account as a sub-blog to this one, without realizing you can’t follow on a sub-blog. So…since the Aperture RP was dead anyway, I’m making this the central account. So, if this blog is following you, it’s really one of the sub-accounts.

So sad its dead too. But I’ll keep this account just in case…who knows, maybe someday…

This is still here, well…either way I don’t intend to take it down any time soon but yea, I sort of forgot about this account.

Anyone need a Rattmann? LOL

OOC: Caught the doodlebug.

Anyone want me to draw anything while I’m up too late and have a case of the ‘artsies’?  Just leave an inquiry, or I might just illustrate some RP scenes or something.  I want to draw, just don’t know -what-.

Saying every other day was quite the understatement, seeing how many accidents had already been caused. On the bright side of it all, that’s where the science mostly got done! Running experiments, throwing science blindly at walls — it could be exciting and fun, even when people were hurt. Sometimes hurt people were dragged away by small robots. Caitlyn wondered if they were dead sometimes. If they were killed, by science, in the name of science. It didn’t rag on her conscience though, subjects were well aware of what they signed up for. Their failure was, obviously, their own fault.

The redhead laughed off the thought, realising she had dazed off a moment, herself.

” It may be in crisis everyday, but at least we’re getting things done. Like science or…ideas for the test chambers.” Wheatley shrugged putting his hands deep into his lab coat pockets leaning back on the heels on his shoes. He eyed his working station with a slight frown; he should be getting back to work. Mr. Johnson would want the grids finished ASAP.

But where would that take Aperture? Once he finished up the project what was going to be next in line. A group of coworkers earlier had mentioned something along the lines of weapons. He pondered at the thought as he stood their, unaware that he was drifting off into his thoughts again.

Laughter.  Unnerving.  But Doug forced a smile to play along.  Fit in.  The ennui of his coworkers was even worse however than the humor- he could at least understand gallows humor if that was all the concern given.  People died here all the time, and no one said a thing.  Like…they didn’t care.  He wasn’t sure how he felt about the whole science over human life.  He certainly didn’t hold science over his life, that much was for sure.  He wondered if the two of them felt the same, but he didn’t ask, he kept tapping away on keys, brows slightly knitting in consideration as he tried to push the darker things from his mind.

“Right.”

Goggles on.  Protective lead apron…check.  Thermal gloves, an affirmative. Nonconducting rubber boots, looked good…

Doug had enough safety equipment on that it made it look like his frail form was half-fit to fold under the weight, but it didn’t help he looked lacking in confidence as he dug his hands in the Aperture Quantum Tunneler-he was a nervous, well to be fair, more nervous than usual, but with good cause!  This particular chunk of machinery was one of the most expensive and dangerous contraption in the entire building.  (Supposedly once it had teleported a man’s skin clean off!)-and now-the damn thing was busted …the pulse pacing was off causing the thing to not fire right, even though the machine was in full working order more or less.   So the programmer found himself trying to fix the timing on the operator board, one wire touch at a time gauging the ports, before soldering the pieces down when it seemed things were in the right place.

It was delicate slow-going work spent with him painstakingly trying to keep himself from frying the circuits or for that matter-himself.  Literally it was taking hours, he had been at this well since lunch, and now with the hours dwindling in the afternoon, Doug was starting to get this feeling it was going to be another late night.  Which made him grit his teeth in annoyance.  He should have said he was busy with either the lighting code or the test chamber panel programming…because that would have been true.  But when his name came up well he just didn’t have the backbone to say anything to the contrary, and he was kicking himself now.

There was a loud zap and something of a loud unintelligible curse as Doug danced around the lab clutching his hand.  Oh that smarted, grumbling he flopped down into a desk chair as he hesitantly pulled his glove off to assess the damage.  Eyes winced shut until he ventured a glance-slowly, one eye at a time, the cautious man was nearly relieved to see a mild burn…especially when he expected to see a few fingers missing…of course he had a knack for considering the worst case scenario.

My fascinating reading material for the night.

That seems interesting! Morality core installation… Never heard of that before if I’m honest with you.

I won’t even pretend to know what this is all about, just another thing jammed into my mail box with a: ‘Changing Safety Protocols, READ THIS.’ -note on it.
Don’t suppose you want to read it and give me a survey overview of it? -I’m joking by the way.

That’s…sort of strange. There was no return address or anything? How mysterious.
Me? Read that? N-No, I-I’m alright thank you. I can understand most things but when it comes to technological advances and what not I’m the worst. That kind of explains why no one really lets me near another other electronics other than my own.

Pretty typical with the guys in programming. Handbooks just get passed around one after another- mailbox to mailbox, I wouldn’t be surprised from the look of the thing if I weren’t the last guy on programming staff to get my hands on it.
Well that’s too bad.  But just remember: today’s advances will be common place tomorrow…or something like that.  Best to stay ahead of the times, because the alternative is normally dangerous around here.  I’ll tell give you a synopsis when I’m finished…

I suppose so. I mean we do work at a science lab after all. Dangerous, yes I can agree with that. I’ve heard things floating around about things called Turrets? I really have no idea what to think about them.
A synopsis would be tremendous!

I had heard about them-mostly because I had been passed over on the programming for the Aperture Science Sentry Turret program about a year or so ago.  I wasn’t aware they were going to go live so quickly though!  But it makes sense, especially if they’re on government dime,  now you didn’t hear it from me, but I heard the majority of the funding is military based…which sounds sketchy to me.
I mean, what’s next? Where is the line drawn? Once you start making weapons it really is all downhill from there, or uphill depending on who you ask.  On one hand its a far cry from curtain rods-on the other, military technology tends to be the driving force in technological advances worldwide.
Still, a slippery slope.

Military based?? Oh wow. That’s umm ….  shocking to say the least. I never knew half of the pay was going into that short of field.
To me anything to do with weapons is a horrible idea. It only ends in death one way or another. Just look at various battles that have passed in history. I mean they meant good intentions to make peace but- the deaths, just look at all of them. I mean, I know that Aperture wants to improve, I really do, but I don’t think weapons is the way to go.

Well, that’s just what I heard around the office.  So it could be suspect.  I would even say highly suspect.
Oh and I’m in full agreement with you.  But look at it this way- when #1 makes weapons, #2 will be quick to follow in its coattails…just hoping to find scraps of that success.  Even if that means on the backs (and lives) of people.  That’s just how the world works-sadly.

I really wish it didn’t. But what can you do. It’s just how things work, like you said yourself.
Wow we got off topic there didn’t we! Well not really but you get the idea. I do have some work to do actually, this site just distracts me so much. I’m rather surprised I haven’t been kicked off of this thing yet.

Tangents happen. At the very least it was informational…but I won’t keep you any longer, I should get to reading any ways.
